Barangay San Jose is one of the Barangays in Mahayag, Zamboaga del Sur. It is bounded on the North by Barangay Bagong Balamban, on the South by Barangay Kabuhi, on the West by Barangay Daniel C. Mantos, and on the East by Barangay Upper Sto. Nino and Pugwan. It has a total land area of approximately 513.19, mostly farmland. 95% of it is flat and 5% is gently sloping.
